The Effect of Intensity of Social Media Use and Peer Conformity on Interpersonal Communication of High School Students in Elementary School

Abstract
This study aims to determine the partial and simultaneous effects of the intensity of social media use and peer compatibility on students' interpersonal communication in elementary school. The population of this study was all students in grades IV-VI in one of the elementary schools in Takeran District, Magetan Regency for the 2022/2023 academic year, there were 202 students. The research sample was taken using the total sampling technique. The research data were collected using a questionnaire technique. Data analysis techniques using two predictor regression analysis. Research conclusions: (1) there is an effect of intensity of social media use on interpersonal communication, (2) there is an effect of peer suitability on interpersonal communication, (3) there is a simultaneous effect of intensity of social media use and peer suitability on interpersonal communication of students in elementary school.
